Fairway Investments announces leadership changes

Fairway Investments today announced that Sims Garrison has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Greg Cherry was named Vice President – Investments, Curt Stokes was named Chief Financial Officer, Paul Darden was named Senior Development Manager and Tyler Miller was named Senior Leasing Manager.

Joe Clifton, who served as Fairway Executive Vice President, has been with the company since it was founded by Mike Thompson in 1990. “Joe Clifton left a distinguished career in the heavy machinery business to help me build a new real estate company.  With lots of hard work, Joe has taken our firm from one property to over one hundred properties in twenty-nine years,” said Mike Thompson, President of Fairway Investments. “His general manager skills were superb as he built fairway into what it is today.  I am proud to watch Joe succeed and delighted he will stay on to manage our growing investor relations department.” Clifton will continue to serve Fairway as Vice President of Business Development and consult with the leadership team on a part time basis.

Sims Garrison joined Fairway Investments in 2000 after four years with accounting firm Arthur Anderson and has been involved in finance, business development and strategy, and asset management while at Fairway. “Sims Garrison and his outstanding team will continue to grow the Fairway Brand,” Thompson added.
